Terms

How we work together.

Last updated: 2026-05-17

Plain version: every Notalu engagement is governed by a signed contract that spells out scope, price, and timeline. These terms describe how we generally operate. If anything here conflicts with your signed contract, your contract wins.

Engagements

One product: a scoped website-build engagement. Fixed price, fixed timeline, fixed deliverable, agreed in writing before we start.

Scope changes

The price doesn't change unless the scope does. If something is added or removed mid-build, we put it in writing first — what's changing, what it costs, what the new timeline is. You approve, then we touch it.

Payment

Payment terms are set in your engagement contract. As a default, smaller engagements are billed in full upfront; larger ones split 50/50 between kickoff and launch. Invoices are paid by transfer or card.

What you own

You own the work. At launch you receive the source files, hosting credentials, and any custom assets we made for you. Notalu retains the right to feature the work in our portfolio.

Support

Each tier includes a defined post-launch support window — 14 to 60 days depending on tier. Within that window, anything that breaks, we fix at no cost.

Cancellation

If you cancel before we start the build, you receive a refund minus any discovery and brief work completed. After build starts, payments are non-refundable, but you keep what's done at the point of cancellation.

Liability

Our maximum liability for any engagement is capped at the fees paid for that engagement.

Confidentiality

What you share with us about your business stays between us. We expect the same about how we work.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Changes

If we update this page, the date at the top changes. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly.
